The Role:

  • Cold and Warm sales calls
  • Work with various lenders to find the best deal for clients and provide best advice and solutions that meet client’s needs
  • Collect personal and detailed information/data from the borrower
  • Follow up actions throughout the loan application and approval processes  
  • Develop and Maintain relationship with business referrals
  • Build up connection network to develop your client source and database

Your new role
Responsibilities will include:

  • Enhance existing compliance framework encompassing external regulatory compliance, specific advice legislation and an understanding of the products and services;
  • Assess the impact of legislative changes both past and present to ensure that the business units are fully informed and compliant;
  • Incidents, Errors and Breach management (market participant and AFSL licensee breaches);
  • Assist with AML & CTF compliance oversight and implementation;
  • Support the business with policy development and operating procedures;
  • Produce regular updates and report on regulatory concerns to ASIC; Act as the contact point with ASIC;
  • Develop and drive the compliance strategy across the business in a consistent manner and to manage any synergies and gaps;
  • Execution and monitoring of risk management practices, operational issues and control breakdowns;



What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience working in a legal/compliance capacity for a Australian Financial Services Licensee/stockbroker or exchange traded products
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in preferably Law, also consider Audit, Finance, Commerce or a similar discipline.
  • Experienced compliance professional with a proven track-record in, and understanding of risk management and the regulatory and compliance environment in financial services and stockbroking.
  • Broking/Securities experience

Role Overview

Work closely with Financial Adviser to support client advice, implementation, and review process. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide assistance to financial planner, managing all operational, administrative and service-related issues for clients.
  • Management of new client implementation of Statements of Advice, including Insurance applications, super rollovers, and managed fund applications.
  • Managing annual reviews.
  • Managing Fee Disclosure Statements and Opt-ins
  • Action and follow up implemented advice strategies or documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client records on relevant CRM system (Plutosoft).
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working as a Client Services Officer or Implementation Manager in the financial planning sector is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and computer skills.
  • Experience in using Financial Planning software Xplan or COIN an advantage, but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service focus and an interest in helping clients achieve their goals.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
