About the Role

  • Liaise with Mortgage Broker, Lender and Client during the post Application Process

  • To review and where necessary adjust the loan submission to ensure the application meets lender requirements and submission quality is at the highest possible standards

  • To ensure quality CRM Data to maximise effectiveness of marketing initiatives

  • Ensuring all documents are received from client, follow loans process checklist, coordinate with client any missing documentation

  • Calculate borrowing capacities & funding calculators

  • Understand lender policy

  • Follow up lender to ensure Approval is received

  • Can assist clients confidently with loan document signing and setting up accounts

  • Liaise with lenders, clients and conveyancers to ensure that settlements occur smoothly

  • Escalate applications as required

  • To identify and recommend continual process improvement in all operational and marketing areas of the business

  • Provide Administrative Support where required

  • Cert IV preferred in Finance and Mortgage Broking

The Role

  • Liaise with customers, take detailed brief of their requirements and collect all important background information.
  • Obtain all relevant documents, update application progress and follow up with customers in a timely manner
  • Prepare and lodge loan submissions within the AOL environment
  • Ensure all applications are 100% compliant by scrutinizing support documents
  • Undertake Responsible Lending, AML and VOI checks
  • Complete serviceability calculators
  • Drive client files from start to finish with efficiency and a smile.
  • Maintain key relationships and liaise with banks and conveyancers to resolve any queries
  • We encourage you to learn, adapt, problem solve and get things done proactively.

The Skills

  • 1-2 years minimum experience working as a loan processor or in related fields such as mortgage broking, banking or home finance using systems such as AOL
  • Be Super Organised with a good understanding of spreadsheets, word processing, and apply online.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adaptable and willingness to undertake multiple tasks within dedicated time frames in an ever-changing environment
  • Able to work in both an unsupervised and busy office environment
  • Ability to work hands-on in a Small Business, creating systems and processes to streamline and help us improve the organisation and customer service

How will I help?

The role purpose is to provide leading risk oversight, insight, and control by achieving critical business and portfolio outcomes, including risk / reward and operational risk effectiveness. 

Key to your success will be your proven ability to engage and influence through your demonstrated strong credit risk assessment and evaluation skills.


Reporting to the Senior Manager Credit, you will be responsible for: 

  • Providing professional and proactive management of the portfolio to ensure optimal credit quality and effective account control.
  • Maintains the organisation's credit standards and business service quality by ensuring all credit decisions are soundly based, involve appropriate oversight, and reflect the organisation's current underwriting standards, policies and risk appetite for the segment.
  • Ensures that credit decisions are communicated in a constructive manner with consideration of suggestions.
  • Provides regular insight of local portfolio to recognise and monitor trends, loss / provision ratios, early identification of deteriorating credits, risk / reward returns and remedial strategies and reviews these as appropriate.
  • Advocates a one team culture and delivers credit coaching to embed process improvement and build credit skills capability for bankers.
