We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Receivable/Payable Officer. The role requires an 8.30am start for approximately 30 – 38 hours per week. Hours of work are negotiable to the right candidate. We pride ourselves on being a family run business and support a healthy work/life balance.

The successful candidate will show outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving skills as well and prioritising excellent customer service. 

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Acceptance of delivery loads and reconciling against purchase orders
  • Invoicing in Xero
  • Update daily fuel pricing
  • Maintaining sales and debtor ledgers
  • Customer service 
  • Creditor data entry as well as payments

The Ideal Candidate will have proven skills including:

  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Debtor control
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Xero would be a bonus but not essential.
  • Time management and excellent organisation
  • Ability and confidence to prioritise 
  • Multi-tasking

Fullerton Health Australia is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Credit Officer for a fixed term full-time contract at its head office based on Melbourne Street, North Adelaide.

Our company is made up of a number of established businesses that have been delivering health services to more than 5 million people over the last 20 years, including leading occupational healthcare provider Jobfit Health Group, Fullerton Health Medical Centres, Northcare Physio, and Baseline Group.

Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the collection of outstanding debt for the subsidiaries of Fullerton Health Australia, and contacting clients where their debt has exceeded the due date of payment to negotiate timely payment. The position is a 6-month fixed term full-time contract, Monday to Friday, with start and finish times negotiable.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure invoices are raised in accordance with company schedule.
  • Regular review of accounts receivable reconciliation to ensure outstanding debtors are followed up.
  • Negotiate and monitor payment arrangements.
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that collection issues are resolved with a high level of service.
  • Monthly reporting on debtor activity.
  • Achieve monthly collection targets.
  • Maintain and manage accounts receivable enquiries.
  • Data enter customer purchase orders.
  • Provide support with the preparation of audits.
  • Support the broader finance team with ad hoc tasks.
Requirements 
  • Minimum 2 years’ accounts receivable experience.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification relating to finance desirable.
  • SAP experience preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of GST legislation.
  • Intermediate Excel and fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.

About the Position

Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance and Administration and working closely with Centacare’s Disability Services Unit, the Accountant - Disability Services will manage, oversee and claim for all NDIS supports and revenue. The purpose of the role is to maximise revenue generation capacity and timely recovery of funds utilising our current client data/revenue management system, Athena Penelope. Some of the key duties in the role include:

  • Build collaborative and productive relationships with all stakeholders including the NDIS, business unit leadership and frontline staff
  • Process financial claims on a regular basis initially for the Disability Services Unit
  • Identify areas for process improvement in order to reduce the causes in delays of claiming revenue
  • Provide training to staff and teams and support them in meeting reporting requirements
  • Undertake budgeting, planning and forecasting activities to support the Finance team with the completion of specific financial budgets/forecasts for business units

About You

To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following criteria:

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance role
  • Minimum advanced diploma in Accounting/Commerce
  • Excellent understanding of both financial and management accounting
  • Highly ethical approach to client information, privacy and consent
  • Experience using Accounting systems (Technology One Financials) and advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Proven data analysis and reporting skills
  • Understanding of auditing, along with a natural ability to identify key operational and control process improvement opportunities
  • Experience in project management and training staff in new systems and procedures
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Valid Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance). Checks can be initiated at https://screening.sa.gov.au/
  • Valid Driver's Licence

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience using Athena Penelope electronic client management system
  • Experience of using the NDIS Portal, the NDIS Price Guide, Support Items, Service Bookings, Service Agreements, Viewing Plans and Submitting Claims
