The position is full time Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Reporting to the Director and working within a small team, you will be responsible for:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Processing Carrier invoices
  • Liaising with internal and external parties
  • Customer Service
  • General office duties

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Freight & Logistics is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of EDI processing
  • Experience using accounting software
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data processing
  • Flexible and ability to multi task
  • Ability to work unsupervised

Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Daily allocation of bank transactions, invoices, and receipts
  • Working seamlessly with Accounts payable and Accounts receivable systems
  • Weekly bank statement  and credit card reconciliations
  • Weekly payroll processing
  • Processing annual leave and other staff leave
  • Preparing BAS & LSL lodgement and payment.
  • Superannuation, Payroll tax and PAYG monthly and quarterly processing
  • Liaising with external accountants and assisting with EOFY Reporting.
  • Maintaining systems using MYOB and Excel Sheets
  • Assist with all other general business administration duties as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Bookkeeping/Accounting is essential
  • At least 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting roles and office administration.
  • Experience with accounting software (especially MYOB) is an advantage
  • Proven computer skills with good working knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel)
  • Confident and effective communicator with a good grasp of the English language
  • Understanding of confidentiality, compliance and fraud prevention processes
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
  • Ability to work well within a team, whilst also able to work autonomously, unsupervised
  • Customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Intuitive reconciliation and discrepancy resolution skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Calmness and emotional intelligence

You will be:

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
  • Agree to a Police Check(If Successful)

Large organisation based in the Bayside Area are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team for a 3 month + contract. This is a part time role and you will need to be available to work 2 or 3 days per week while the team are further developing their systems and processes. You will be required to attend the office for the first week while you are inducted & trained then you will working from home for the rest of the contract.

Reporting to the Finance Accountant and as an integral member of the Accounts team, you'll enjoy a varied role covering a broad range tasks related to General Accounts, Trust Accounts and Controlled Monies.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

• bank reconciliations for the office and trust account
• daily banking, petty cash and processing credit card payments
• monthly balancing of creditors
• assisting with end of month balancing and filing
• opening and closing controlled monies accounts and balancing month end     controlled monies
• entering disbursements and creditors, assisting with general accounts queries and end of year financial procedures.

Our client is seeking a supportive and pro-active team person who enjoys working in a team and is happy to pitch in and assist others when required. You will also have thefollowing skills and attributes;

• previous experience in a similar role
• proficient skills in MS Office and accounting systems
• strong attention to detail
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ability to meet deadlines and work within time frames
