About the role

Due to continual growth and new exciting ventures ahead, we are in need of another experienced BAS Agent/ Team Supervisor to join our vibrant, motivated & professional team. 

This position requires high-level bookkeeping and working on multiple clients within different industries. We are looking for someone who is able to solve problems, has extremely high attention to detail, displays high levels of accuracy and is able to support other members in the team with BAS enquiries. Position is available as casual or contracted.

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping / BAS lodgements 
  • Current BAS/Tax Agent registration 
  • Experience with managing a team
  • Experience with managing multiple clients in multiple industries
  • Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and payroll
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, including Xero and MYOB
  • Excellent time management skills and able to meet deadlines
  • Be a friendly, cheerful and flexible team player
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously but also operate as part of a team 
  • Have your own laptop, ability to print at home and a current drivers licence

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team based at North Shore Private Hospital in this Permanent Full-Time opportunity.

About the Role

In this role you will assist all North Shore Network hospital staff with the interpretation and use of financial information by providing an accurate and fair view of their financial position and performance through regular analysis and reporting.

Our North Shore Network encompasses North Shore Private Hospital, Castlecrag Private Hospital and Hunters Hill Private Hospital.

This opportunity will also see you responsible for maintaining a strong balance sheet and system of internal controls, organising the annual budget process and maintenance of account reconciliations and cost centre reports. Additionally, you will be involved in ensuring statutory audit and tax working papers are completed accurately and on time.

In this role you will be working closely with the Hospital Executive Team and Department Managers on the identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects.

Reporting to our Director of Finance and working closely with a professional team, this opportunity will enable the successful candidate to grow their career within Australia’s largest private hospital provider working across three key sites. 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong financial skillset in managing reporting, processes and general ledger maintenance. You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to effectively interpret financial data and identify areas of interest and concern. Strong analytical and logical problem solving are also key skillsets required along with ability to effectively communicate, influence and engage with a range of stakeholders at all levels.

You will also bring;

  • Qualification in Commerce/ Finance/ Accounting
  • Prior experience in an accounting role
  • Experience in the Health Industry will be highly regarded, although not essential.
  • Working understanding of the tax laws and business implications thereof
  • Excellent skills in Excel spreadsheets, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service for all internal and external customer
  • Post graduate finance qualification (e.g. CA/ CPA) or in the process of obtaining the post graduate qualification

Remuneration

  • On offer is a salary commensurate with your experience of approximately $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, we are seeking a suitably qualified Accountant to join the team at Fresh Flowers Group. This role is responsible to support the Financial Controller and ensure tasks and projects within the finance area are completed accurately and in a timely fashion, including Payroll functions. 

This position has responsibility for financial processes, compliance, risk minimisation, reporting, analysis and recommendations for reducing costs across the business.  Assisting with the budget process and adherence to financial regulations and the company’s policies.

Skills, experience and qualifications

To be considered for this position you should possess: 

  • Four + years’ experience in a Senior Accounting position.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and management of cash flow.
  • Hands-on with transactional accounting work
  • Oversee processing and execute the Payroll function on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Producing financial reporting and analysis.
  • Review of transactional and operational efficiencies and business cost reduction.
  • Lodging monthly PAYG and quarterly GST and BAS statements.
  • Understanding profit and loss effects.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable including invoicing, debt management and collection.
  • Annual compliance and monthly performance management reporting.
  • Knowledge of trusts, companies and superannuation funds
  • Excellent computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Tertiary qualifications within finance, business or accounting
  • Professional accreditations of CPA or CA

This role would suit someone with:

  • Strong commitment to the principles underpinning good corporate governance and sound financial management.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, analyse options and solve problems.
  • The ability to liaise with senior management and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated competence in data management and the use of a range of relevant software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google suite and accounting software such as Xero.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build rapport with all stakeholders; exceptional attention to detail, highly organised with time management and multitasking skills.
