About the role…

Our Customer Advisor roles are an excellent platform to begin a long-term banking career with NAB! Our Advisors engage with our customers, answering any questions that they may have, and educate them on NAB’s products and services that may best fit their banking needs.

In this entry-level role you will demonstrate NAB’s ‘Smarter Banking’ options (e.g. self-service and digital) which help make banking with us an awesome experience! You will process general transactions and complete activities for deposits, insurance and unsecured lending solutions.

No two days or customers are ever the same, and life in our branch network offers continuous learning opportunities, as well as rewarding challenges and results. Whilst banking experience is advantageous, it’s not essential, thanks to our supportive onboarding and training programs!

Provide high-level public health expertise, education and support for public health unit and specifically for Rheumatic Heart

Disease (RHD) control and vaccine preventable disease activities and assist in the Covid response.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support to the planning, delivery and evaluation of RHD control program and to immunisation program activities

aimed at improving vaccine coverage and where needed, to the Covid-19 response.

2. Maintain effective partnerships with primary/tertiary healthcare providers and Environmental Health (EH) to achieve the primary

objective.

3. Work collaboratively with the RHD and Immunisation Coordinators and other Public Health Unit (PHU) program coordinators to

provide, expert public health specialist advice and leadership to staff and project work and to provide representation at relevant

forums and respond to media requests with the media unit as required.

4. Oversee and support the collection and management of Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF)/RHD data, and accurate and timely reporting of

immunisation data.

5. Actively engage with, participate in or supervise research aimed at reducing the incidence of ARF and RHD and vaccine preventable

diseases and engage in promoting best practice management of RHD.

6. Participate in the day-to-day disease control activities of Centre for Disease Control (CDC) and contributing to clinical areas and

outbreak control as required including the after-hours on call roster.

7. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order

to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

Selection Criteria:
Essential:
1. Eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) and a fellow of the

Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (FAFPHM).

2. Experience and proven ability to provide public health leadership.

3. Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures and languages.

4. Proven ability to communicate effectively and provide education to relevant stakeholders including staff and media

5. Knowledge and experience of public health principles, policy development, research methodologies, and of government structures and

processes.

6. High-level administrative, communication and organisational skills and ability to generate reports, meet deadlines and oversee the

writing of quality documents for the public and other stakeholders.

Desirable:
1. Experience in database management and data analysis.

2. Experience of Northern Territory (NT) primary health care systems and of the communicable diseases relevant to the Northern Territory

and knowledge of remote area Aboriginal communities.
