This is a great job opportunity located in the Southern Suburbs of Brisbane

Your new company
With a long history of providing exceptional services and products, this growing company have hit their stride and continue to experience steady growth. They have a large customer base, and competent staff that will support you in further development. This position will commence as a temporary but has strong chance to turn permanent. Ideally looking for an immediate start.

Your new role
Your duties will include:

  • Setting up new employees
  • Award and EBA interpretation
  • End to end payroll processing for 1000 + employees
  • Processing back-pays and amendments


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role you will ideally meet the following requirements:

  • Experience with multiple EBAs and Awards
  • Experience with high volume processing
  • End to end payroll exposure
  • Experience using a large ERP

Your new role
Working under the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Full function Accounts Payable
  • Processing invoices/payments
  • Entering and coding invoices
  • Liaising directly with suppliers
  • Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders


What you'll need to succeed
You'll have previous experience working in a similar position as well as:

  • Experience handling full function Accounts Payable
  • Ability to process high volume of invoices/payments
  • Ability to reconcile accounts
  • Large ERP system experience desired but not essential

About the Role

This role is fast paced with lots of variety managing a stable portfolio of SME clients. Reporting to the business owner you will be required to build and maintain active and trusting working relationships with your clients by providing a broad range of bookkeeping services such as:

  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Payroll and superannuation
  • Accounts and bank reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal preparation
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS and PAYG
  • Preparation of accounts to trial balance stage
  • Process transactions in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks 


Requirements

  • Solid experience in Australian bookkeeping
  • Cert IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and organisational abilities; you consistently meet deadlines and can juggle multiple priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Desire to develop strong relationships with clients and exceed their expectations
  • Solid experience in Xero, MYOB, MS products, QBO and Reckon

  • Extensive experience in management of a Payroll function, services and team
  • Careful attention to detail and strong planning skills
  • Be able to coach, mentor and train staff
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
