An opportunity exists for a suitably skilled and experienced candidate to join our finance team. The position of Accounts Receivable is relationships focused and requires a strong understanding of financial processes, in order to provide the best possible experience for all stakeholders, but most importantly our families, within the Debtors process.

  • Full-time, 38 hours per week
  • Fixed-term position (November 2020 - July 2021) 

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate:

  • Effective communication skills with our key stakeholders
  • Effective organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • A friendly and professional telephone and personal manner
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise daily work requirements
  • The ability to maintain accurate records

 Essential to this role is: 

  • Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Receivable role
  • Qualifications in accounting or business e.g. cert IV, diploma (desirable)
  • Proven extensive customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with various accounting packages and computer software programmes, including Word and Excel
  • Cash handling experience and skills
  • Knowledge of EFTPOS processing requirements
  • A willingness to work within the School's Christian ethos and actively support the values and philosophy of the School.

Remuneration

This position is classified at Level 5 ($33.66 per hour) 

Remuneration is paid under the St Michael's Collegiate School (General Staff and Early Childhood Education and Care Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2018.

THE OPPORTUNITY 

This is an exciting opportunity to join and support the Finance team, this role will provide credit control and administrative support for Accounts Receivable and Sales across the Huon Group.

You will assist with Credit Administration functions as directed by the Credit Manager.These may include:

  • Process new and existing Credit Applications from start to completion (Includes PPSR registration, collating information for assessment, preparation for sign off by CM/Company/Accountant
  • Update the process for Credit Applications, new and existing customers
  • Account reconciliation including follow up of claims as required & cash flow forecast
  • Undertake monthly/daily reconciliations by channel (Domestic, Retail, Export, Online store)
  • Set up of new customer details in SAP and communicate to the business

ABOUT YOU

As the successful candidate, you’ll be an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist who can demonstrate the following: 

  • Previous experience with Accounts Receivable for at least 5 - 8 years at a similar level is preferred in the Food/FMCG industries.
  • PPSR registrations experience, Risk assessment skill, Legal compliance knowledge, opening new accounts.
  • Experience in a high volume environment.
  • Understanding of legal contracts and Legal trading entities, Trusts etc, Laws that relate to Domestic customers.
  • Exposure to small scale ERP systems (e.g Movex, MFG Pro, SAP Business One)
  • Mature interpersonal, influencing, oral, written, time management, advanced spreadsheet and problem solving skills.
  • Associate or higher qualification with AICM preferred

It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
