Seashells Hospitality Group, one of Western Australia's leading operators of Serviced Apartments is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a full-time position. The role is based in our head office in Subiaco and will commence late October 2020.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a small team your key deliverables will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Processing & reconciliations of all allocated bank accounts
  • Preparation of BAS, IAS, FBT and Payroll Tax
  • Preparation of management reports and Journals
  • GL Reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports
  • General administration as required

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred along with experience in the Hospitality Industry.

High level of organizational, time management and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication and data entry skills are required

Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

High level of initiative and attention to detail

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people

Advanced level of computer literacy with Accounting packages (MYOB and Exonet experience is considered essential) along with experience with MS Office products.

This well known, highly reputable and respected organisation based in Perth's northern suburbs is currently looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team on an initial 3 month temp contract.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the main duties of the Accounts Receivable Officer includes:

  • Managing a ledger of accounts
  • Process incoming payments in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger
  • Bank reconciliation, month end reconciliation
  • Verify discrepancies & resolve clients' and customer billing issues.
  • Facilitate swift payment of invoices due by sending bills, reminders and contacting clients and customers with outstanding accounts.
  • Any other adhoc duties as requested

Your Profile
To be considered for this opportunity we are looking for the following skills, experience and personality

  • Minimum 3 years full function Accounts Receivable  experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Experience in Month End Reconciliation
  • Credit reporting skills/ aged debtor analysis
  • Intermediate Excel skills (V Look up/ Pivot tables)
  • Excellent Communication skills verbally and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A willingness to help out and work within a team environment
  • Be able to start within 1 week (although this is a long term contract there is a very strong chance the role will become permanent).

The Role

We are looking for a self-motivated trainee accountant with their sights on a corporate career to take on a newly formed role in our Corporate office.

Based in Subiaco and working alongside our existing corporate accountant, this role will provide accounting support for our corporate and property entities along with our non-dealership businesses.

You will also work closely with the executive team, providing support with research, data presentation, reports and briefs. Further, you will assist with diary & email coordination which will provide the right individual with a keen insight into the leadership of the business and a wide range of learning and development opportunities for future progression.

Attributes

  • Hold a degree in Commerce
  • Currently studying toward, or planning to study toward CA/CPA (study support will be provided to the right candidate)
  • Experience of accounting and bookkeeping work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised with sound time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Responsibility and accountability with the capacity to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • A positive, outgoing and enthusiastic approach
