Project Manager working on Mobility Device Management project on the Gold Coast

Your new company
With multiple projects underway my client is currently embarking on several large Programs of Work across key technology areas and are looking for an experienced PM to manage their Mobility platform as a service.

Your new role
Managing a large scale Mobility platform project, you will work closely with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to define requirements, complete detailed scheduling, coordinate resources, drive delivery, report on status, and manage risks and issues.

What you'll need to succeed
To ensure your success you will have a demonstrated experience managing complex technology projects across applications, Infrastructure and digital, specifically in Mobility and Mobile Device Management. The successful candidate will be a self-starter that can work in a fast paced environment, strong experience in vendor/contract management is a must and you will also be client driven with strong governance and commercial acumen.

Based in Southport, you will work closely with and be supported by our Account Management, Technical and Product Development teams to help deliver communication installation projects efficiently.  

The Project Manager responsibilities 

  • Work with a Project team (5 staff) including scheduling resources and task allocation of the project from start to completion
  • Project planning, scheduling, cost control and budgeting. Managing risk and issues.
  • Lead and implement WHS, ISO9001 Quality and Environmental standards

Project Manager qualifications and requirements: 

Cellular project experience vital (please don't apply without this.)

Excellent administration, verbal and written communication skills. 

Demonstrated ability to confidently lead and mentor a project team.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. 

Demonstrated experience in managing (or assisting) in delivering communications related projects (or similar market). 

Knowledge of project management techniques, industry-specific project management programs, software and technology (please specify). 

Demonstrated abilities in the areas of relationship building, problem-solving, issues management, negotiation, and presentation. 

Highly Regarded: 

Proficient with Microsoft Project, able to produce Gantt charts for large projects 

Current Project Management qualifications (please advise) 

The position may require minimal travel and overnight stays.

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with Mobility Device Management / Platform experience to join a Mobility Project which sits within a larger Digital Transformation Program of Work.

This role is based at Bundall on the Gold Coast and our client is currently adopting flexiable working arrangemnets with the current practice being 3 days onsite and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities

  • Report project status and performance through appropriate governance structures
  • Co-ordinate acquisition and resourcing processes for project resources (e.g. ICT hardware, software and services)
  • Liaise, co-ordinate and negotiate with internal and external service providers/vendors for the provision of other services
  • Manage all aspects of the project(s) including program scope, risks, integration, issues and financial management
  • Utilise an established customer engagement model to ensure a high level of customer input and ownership
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with the defined project management methodologies, governance structures, processes, tools, reporting regimes and approaches
  • Produce required documentation and artefacts that contribute to delivering a project in alignment with the clients Project Management Framework.

Skills required

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing small and medium complex ICT projects within a government context
  • Previous experience in managing Enterprise projects would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing ICT procurement activities
  • Demonstrated experience in managing transition activities after the project deliverables are complete in order to achieve benefit realisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects including the ability to manage project scope, risks, integration, issues and financials.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with a diverse group of internal and external suppliers to achieve outcomes.
  • Written and oral communication skills at an advanced level (including the ability to consult and influence a diverse range of customers).

Desirable:

  • Experience in Enterprise Mobile Management Platforms such as Airwatch and O365 integration
  • Experience with BYOD implementations
