This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Developer to work on a leading Australian project management platform that has a global customer base. Our software allows users to access a solution rich in features; such as document management, asset library, invoicing, timesheets, workflow automation to reporting and analytics.

The person we are looking for will be able to demonstrate their experience in managing and leading teams. You will need this to effectively support the IT director as we continue to scale the business

The Opportunity

You will be joining an internationally backed company based in Melbourne's CBD, working with a talented team who have a broad wealth of knowledge and experience in building within large scale, complex software systems.

You will be collaborating with the team in building out our platform as well as the core system and integrated components. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of features that will keep the role both exciting and rewarding. In addition, we are looking for you to add your experience and capability into the team, adding depth in building out best practice within a culture of continuous improvement. With our relaxed and people focused working environment you will also have a say in the technical direction of new projects moving forward. 

The role encourages active contribution of ideas to enhance performance, stability and scalability, as well as influencing the direction of future business and the implementation of new technologies. Having an analytical mind, you will be able to put yourself in the user’s shoes, think critically about what you are building and lead the team in the adoption of industry standards and best practices.

Necessary Skills & Experience:

  • A problem solver and a technologist at heart, bringing a creative, analytical, adaptable, logical and thorough approach
  • Experience developing highly scalable code
  • Has expert knowledge in PHP and Laravel
  • Experience with MySQL or similar especially around migrations and optimizations
  • Hands on experience in CI/CD and TDD approach
  • Experience in working with large applications (decoupling monoliths)
  • Experience in website optimization and caching (software and hardware)
  • Excellent knowledge of design patterns and how to apply them
  • Experience with AWS environment and containerized applications
  • Excellent understanding of best practices around security of web applications
  • Experience with Git and various workflow/branching strategy approaches
  • Experience leading a small team of developers
  • Excellent communicator & people manager

Preferable Experience:

  • Exposure to Solr or ElasticSearch
  • Exposure to front-end technologies (one or more of ReactJS/Redux, VueJS, BEM, LESS)
  • Exposure to Software as a Service (SaaS) type of applications
  • Exposure to application containerisation and microservices

The CE Delivery & Data teams, are tasked with the planning, prioritisation, development and operation of an enterprise-scale Customer Engagement Engine (CEE) to drive meaningful, effective conversations with our customers at scale. The Lead Decisioning Architect will provide the technical and critical support for a “next best interaction” system across all customer journeys and channels to optimise customer lifetime value, drive productivity and increase digital adoption.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the development and implementation of the decisioning platform to maximise customer value, drive productivity and increase digital adoption, including setting up delivery & quality standards for the platform.

  • Enabling a community of practice for developers interested in the Pega platform to share best practices and experiences.

  • Bringing both inward and outward focused thinking in the areas of Decisioning, Next Best Action and Customer personalisation.

  • Developing, implementing and managing the Pega Decisioning Hub arbitration formula to drive increased marketing effectiveness.

  • Developing, implementing and managing a model led ‘Next Best Interaction’ Customer Engagement strategy using Pega decisioning capability as well as other database programing languages, for example SQL, SAS, Python.

About You

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Hands on experience and technical knowledge of Pega Decisioning Hub, including strategy building, offer creation and ongoing management and iteration of those strategies and builds.

  • Experience in building and deploying a Next Best Interaction Approach.

  • Understanding of the ATL, BTL and experiment marketing activity and developing commercial ROI for various channels.

  • Proven experience in developing data & decisioning solutions to maximise customer experience and value.

  • Proven experience in developing campaign evaluation framework for various inbound and outbound campaigns.

About the role:

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality support services to Jasco's Managed Services clients, through exceptional communication skills and service excellence. Further to this, you will:

  • Be responsible for the 3rd level support of Jasco Managed Service's clients through call handling and ticket creation, support triage, real-time monitoring, proactively managing Response SLA's efficiently whilst working towards a resolution
  • Provide incident management, root cause analysis, problem management and undertake regular maintenance activities across a varied range of technologies working closely with customers and vendors including Telstra, Microsoft, Dell, HP, Cisco, Citrix, VMWare and EMC
  • Escalate tickets and client issues appropriately and efficiently to senior technical consultants, vendors and management as required
  • It will be a requirement to have technical knowledge of Microsoft products

About you:

  • A strong customer advocacy focus
  • The successful applicant must have a minimum of 5 years working experience with customer-focused IT delivery and be able to demonstrate great customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, DNS and Active Directory
  • Ability to expertly support Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems
  • Experience with administering both Hyper V and VMware environments
  • Be an escalation point for Level 1/2 issues
  • A good knowledge of the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platform is a must.
  • Proven ability to expertly support common corporate applications (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Good Knowledge of common Microsoft Server Applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business/Teams for Business, SCCM & SCOM.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of IT Security – Cloud and On Premises
  • Experience in Backup systems, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
  • Great troubleshooting skills
  • Previous experience within a Managed Service Provider environment will be highly regarded
  • Technology vendor and ITSM (ITIL) certifications will be highly regarded

You must be highly motivated and can work unsupervised as part of a growing team.  You will have an analytical mind and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. As the position involves a great deal of interaction with customers and other Jasco team members, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential and an overarching focus on customer service.
