The Opportunity

With the ongoing growth of our client base and products, we are now looking for more Business Development Executives to join our business. This is a full-time position, based in our global head office in Milton, Brisbane.

Working with primarily outbound leads, your key accountabilities will be:

  • Connecting with prospects in assigned verticals via a multi-touch methodology (25-30 touches per day), with the aim of having quality conversations about their recruitment needs;
  • Conducting a discovery to learn about their recruitment goals and challenges, and determining which of Scout Talent's products are the right fit;
  • Confirming pricing, handling objections, and managing the sales process;
  • Conducting qualified software demonstrations alongside our product specialists;
  • Acting as an Account Manager for your clients, building and maintaining a strong relationship leading to repeat business and growth of your accounts;
  • Liaising with our Specialist teams to coordinate recruitment campaign and recruitment technology efforts to ensure a flawless execution; and
  • Delivering outstanding service to clients.

You may be thinking 'is anyone even recruiting during these tough economic times?' and the answer is actually yes - while COVID has been challenging, our business continues to attract new clients and we've seen our existing clients continue to recruit for a number of reasons (a lot of businesses are now in a re-build phase).

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for tenacious and hungry individuals who get a thrill from chasing down the next opportunity/deal/sale. If you’ve got a competitive streak, find sales exciting and energising, and genuinely enjoy frequent engagement with stakeholders, this could be your dream role.

The successful candidates will be charismatic, well spoken and polished - you need to make a great first impression every time. Strong written communication skills are also essential.

Emotional intelligence and strong relationship building skills will be key to your success, as will curiosity, optimism, and the mindset to embrace obstacles. It's also crucial you be persistent and very process driven, with loads of initiative in order to consistently hit your KPIs.

A background in Software sales or Recruitment would be ideal, however is not essential if you are able to demonstrate transferrable skills and experience - we'll provide full training on our suite of products and services.

The Benefits

You'll be rewarded with a remuneration package made up of a base salary and uncapped commissions tied to personal performance (on-target earnings in your first year are circa $75,000 - $85,000).

You'll be well supported by your Team Leader, our Group CRO, and other BDE team members, as well as our Specialist teams who know the ropes and are invested in helping you succeed.

Our company culture is really important to us and we celebrate success with regular shout-outs on our internal social network, ringing bells when a new sale comes in, quarterly awards nights/parties, and an annual overseas weekend reward for our High Achievers (when COVID isn't impacting our travel plans!). As much as we recognise and reward our people, we also place importance on focus and self-discipline. It's a good balance.
