Campus Kindergarten is a community based not for profit organisation that operates an early childhood education and care (ECEC) service and is licensed to provide long day care. It was established in 1971 and is highly regarded within the community. It is located on the grounds of the University of Queensland.  The centre currently operates as a 65 place service catering for children from 2 ½ to school age.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, casual Qualified Educator to work with us.

  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A current Management of Asthma and Anaphylaxis (22024VIC & 22099VIC)
  • A current Blue Card
  • Knowledge of ELYF, QKLG and NQF
  • Experience working in Long Day Care/ Kindergarten Setting
  • Excellent communication and presentation Skills
  • Ability to work as a team
  • A positive, friendly and “can do” attitude.

Position Responsibilities: 
• To work in accordance with all Campus Kindergarten and The Gowrie (Qld) policies, procedures and National Quality Standards. 
• Develop a thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and engage in the centre’s collaborative curriculum approach. 
• Work in partnership with the teachers to support the documentation of each child’s learning and the active reflection on individual and centre practice.
• Participate in all education and care requirements as you develop a warm, responsive and genuine relationship with all children.
• Develop and maintain open and supportive relationships with all stakeholders.

• An ability to collaboratively implement a planned program to ensure the needs of individual children.
• To demonstrate an ability to work as an effective team member and support the teacher.
• To set and achieve work goals whilst still maintaining a level of flexibility.
• Well developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• A developing understanding of the theories of early childhood education and care and child development.
• A developing understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment.

About This Opportunity

As the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Law, Science and Technology you will teach and engage in high quality, collaborative research in the area of law, science and technology with a particular emphasis on cyber security. You will teach and contribute to the cross-disciplinary Masters of Cyber Security program and other subjects related to law and technology. You will have the potential to promote, impact and participate in national and international public debate, law reform, policy development and/or legal practice which elevates the Law School’s profile as a leader in this field.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. 

Our Ideal Candidate

You will hold a legal qualification in law (LLB, JD or equivalent) and will have an exemplary teaching record at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Candidates applying at Level C will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline. For Level B candidates, a PhD or PhD under examination or in the final stages of completion is desirable.  You will have the ability to relate well to students in an interactive learning environment and have an effective record of principal supervision of Higher Degree Research students. Experience in writing competitive research grant applications and a track record of peer-reviewed publications in leading journals and a pipeline of research-in-progress targeting high quality journals is essential. What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at Academic Level B or C.

Level B: The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $97,590 - $115,888 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $114,181 - $135,590.

Level C: The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $119,548 - $137,846 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $139,871 - $161,280.
